Her hook, my art- our love of the ocean...
A truly collaborative piece.



The first-in-series Ocean's Joy hook came about through the request of my friend, Kristina (@MiramarWoods.) My creation of her 5mm Ocean Tunisian crochet hook tapped my deep love of the Pacific Ocean and sparked a series of hooks that is still growing. To celebrate our collective love of not only the ocean, but friendship, craftsmanship, and the handmade, we are auctioning off this hook to the highest bidder! The hand carved hook by Kristina was made from her backyard of Eucalyptus trees near the great ocean. My hand painted touch explodes in color with foamy waves mingling with the wood grain accents. This hook is a truly collaborative piece. In recent weeks the devastation of the California wild fires has touched both our hearts and we have decided to donate 100% of the money raised to those directly affected by the fire. A YARN SHOP 12 MILES FROM THE FIRELINE...







Our friends in Butte County



Heart String Yarn Studio is 12 miles from the fireline in Butte County, California where so much havoc has been recently with the wild fires. But since the fire is moving away from their shop, they have kept their doors open and are now a symbol of hope, courage, and comfort for the community. The shop has been in it's location for 14 years, and now as people affected by the fire walk through it's doors with new heartache, Heartstrings has been able to gift them their purchases because of donations they are receiving. They are accepting yarn, crafting supplies, and monetary donations. They told me that not one person has come into the shop expecting a gift, but each one has broken down in a tearful hug when told their purchase was paid for by the generosity of their fiber friends in this awesome community of ours. We are so happy to join in and include our collaborative Ocean's Joy hook as part of the respite and relief for our friends in Butte County.
